Reading
We will be starting a novel and reading it together as a class. The name of the novel is titled The Westing Game. Its' a complex mystery novel with many characters and a rich plot that will keep the kids guessing to the end!
Writing
Students will be studying different types of poetry and writing their own poems. Some examples of poems we will concentrate on are cinquain, concrete, bio, and diamante.
Word Study
Students will receive their new words on Wednesday, May 16th. They will have the following week to complete the assigned activities that correlate with their words. Students will be expected to turn in their work on Tuesday, May 22.
Wordly Wise
Students will receive their next Wordly Wise assignment on Wednesday, May 9th . Students will be given the week to complete the activities in the student workbook. All activities will be due on Tuesday, May 15th.
